GENERAL ENGLISH REFRESHER COURSE

 

Level III / (GERC III)

Course Objective:
The General English Refresher Course – Level III is designed and developed to meet the needs NATO, PfP, EU and MD countries military and civilian staff will face as part of their participation in international missions, drills, qualification and military courses in an English-speaking environment.

 

Learning Objectives:
GERC III aims to maintain and enhance the language ability obtained during the Intensive General English Course – Level III. One of the focal points of this particular refresher course is primarily on a revision of fundamental grammatical patterns. Another point of focus is to boost and expand the course-participants’ vocabulary acquisition. Furthermore, certain productive skills are to be emphasized on, such as: writing e-mails, briefings, memos, meetings, and etc. GERC III principally uses an integrated approach intended to increase trainees’ communicative expertise in each of the four skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).

Course Prerequisites:

STANAG 6001 Test 2 2 2 2 / ALCPT scores of at least 85.
There is no security clearance requirement for course attendance.

 

Target group:

Civilians, privates, NCO and Commissioned officers from NATO, EU, PfP and MD countries.

 

Duration:
Total duration of course 4 weeks (120 hours – 6 hours of instruction per day, 5 days a week).
Not more than 12 trainees in a classroom.
